ABOUT

Laoise Carey aims to be a trailblazer in the Irish Fashion Industry, making circularity and environmental consciousness the rule, rather than the exception, in Irish Design.

She is currently a freelance sewing tutor and fashion consultant, as well as a tutor with Tipperary ETB, passing on the skills of garment construction, pattern drafting and sustainable sewing practices to her students.

Her eponymous label Laoise Carey Studio ran from 2020-2025: a brand committed to regenerating and elevating vintage, recycled and other eco-friendly textiles, by creating luxurious heirloom clothing for the eco-conscious customer.

Laoise graduated from her BA at the National College of Art & Design, Dublin in 2017 and began her career working in the areas of pattern drafting and garment technology. She is now studying for an MA Circular by Design at the same institution.

She learned the importance of high quality fit and finishings in luxury fashion while working for Simone Rocha in London.

Irish Mythology and the beautiful landscapes of Laoise’s home county, Tipperary, inspire her work, welcoming you to step into her world of nostalgia, craftmanship, luxury and quality.
